Robert Mullen aka Hollywood Bob worked for The NY Herald Tribune for 8 years, The Daily News for 16 years, and The New York Times for 25 years in the press room until he retired in 2008. After being off for a couple of years, he decided to try out a second career: Acting. So far, he has been working as a featured extra in TV shows shot in New York City such as Gossip Girl, Royal Pains, The Americans, Zero Hours, Smash and many more. He also has appeared on three films (Blow Jacks, Winter's Tale, Americans In China).
Hollywood Bob is very enthusiastic pursuing his new career and believes it has positively and completely changed his life at his 73 years young. He is currently training with acting coaches and workshops to further his acting skills to book speaking roles. On his free time, Bob loves to go dancing to his favorite place: The Standard Hotel, smoke pipes and cigars at Bar & Books, and eat at fancy restaurants all over Manhattan where he can dress up and where people know his name.
